It’s the real thing!

We have partnered for some time with an organisation called Prodigy Learning which offers the MOS Certificate (Microsoft Office Specialist).  If students take this suite of supported materials, they end up with an official Microsoft certificate.  That is undoubtedly better than any other Microsoft Office based qualification that does not get students the official certificate.  However, this in itself is great, but does not usually cut it with schools who need performance tables.  In light of this, we have worked with Prodigy to map the MOS work to our existing ITQ units of the same form (i.e. Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Presentation software).  Our schools follow the MOS materials so that their students get a useful certificate for employment (for example, search on Reed for jobs requiring an ECDL or MOS).  Students then need to take our 2 mandatory units in Using IT and IT Security which will get them a full L2 certificate in IT User Skills for college or employment.  The students can then take an exam and get graded A*-C.  The school will then get performance points based on these grades for 2016-2018.  A triple win hopefully.

In order to support this, TLM and Prodigy are offering a number of free workshops around the country to help introduce you to how it works.

Please take a look here for an event near you.

We hope to see you there!
